DESCRIPTION
Breast tenderness is often caused by fluctuations in hormone levels, particularly oestrogen and progesterone. Oestrogen causes the breast ducts to enlarge, and increased progesterone can cause the milk glands to swell up. If either one of these occurs it can make your breasts feel sore. This most often occurs in the second half (luteal phase) of your cycle. A reduction in your salt and caffeine intake can sometimes reduce symptoms, as this reduces water retention in and around your breasts. Ow is our 7-day sachet designed for anyone experiencing breast tenderness due to an imbalance of hormones, as these sachets include vitamin B6 which aids in the regulation of hormonal activity. We only use the most bioavailable form of B6 to ensure you get the maximum benefit, and have coupled it with Evening Primrose Oil and Vitamin E for a truly holistic approach.
FAQS
When do I start taking Ow?
We recommend that if your breasts become tender on your period, then begin the first sachet on the first day of your period. If your breasts become tender a set number of days before your period, then start the first sachet on the day before they normally become tender. If your breast tenderness is as predictable as the British summer, then just start on the first day you feel any tenderness.
Will Ow help with pregnancy-related breast tenderness?
Probably not. Ow contains B6, which aids the regulation of hormonal activity which, when imbalanced, can cause breast tenderness. This is quite different from tenderness experienced due to milk glands developing during pregnancy.
Will Ow eliminate all period-related breast tenderness?
It would be lovely if it did! It may only help a bit, or it may help a lot and yet not quite eliminate it. We’re working with the natural processes of your amazing body, so results are bound to vary.
What does ‘7-day sachet’ mean?
Inside each carton of Ow are seven sachets. Each sachet contains the same three supplements. You take one sachet (all of its contents) per day, usually from the first day of your period (but if your breast tenderness begins earlier, you may want to start then).
Why sachets, why not just make a multivitamin?
A sachet allows us to combine several products, giving you a wider range of vitamins, minerals and plant-based nutrients than would be possible with an ordinary multivitamin, whilst still having the convenience of knowing what to take and when.
Do I need to take all three capsules in the sachet at once?
This is entirely up to you. You can space them out if you find this is more comfortable for you, or neck them all in an instant if you want to show off your capsule-swallowing game.
What if I have trouble swallowing vitamins?
The good news is that one of the three supplements in each sachet is a capsule. This means you could open it up and pour out the powder into a yogurt or smoothie and get all the same benefits with none of the drama. And if you do go for a smoothie, just pop the 2 softgels in there whole – the blender with make short work of the softgels and unless you have a superhuman palate you won’t notice them in there.
Is Ow suitable for vegans or vegetarians?
Unfortunately, not currently, as each sachet contains one softgel with a bovine shell. Watch this space though, as we hope to one day make them suitable for all.
Are there any allergens in Ow?
Of the 14 major allergens recognised in the UK, none are present in Ow.
Can I use Ow if I’m using contraception or pain relief?
There are no contraindications for contraceptives or pain relief medication and the ingredients in Ow. If, however, you’re concerned then you can always check with your GP or pharmacist.
Can I combine Ow with other Soov products?
Yes! Ow was designed to help with a particular period symptom, but we recommend pairing this with Flow as your daily to take throughout the month to help keep this balanced. And of course, if you have other symptoms on your period, you can mix and match with our other Soov sachets. If you’re worried it’s all a bit too much, you can contact us and we’ll help guide you.
